Most racking in UK warehouses passes through an importer and a distributor before it reaches the floor. We make it, check it and ship it to you, so you deal directly with the people who built it.

SteelAisle is the export brand of our racking factory. We produce adjustable pallet racking, high-density systems, cantilever racking, industrial shelving, mezzanine structures and rack protection, and we sell them to UK businesses without a middle layer.

That keeps the price at factory level, and it means the person answering your question about beam capacity or upright sections can ask the production team the same day.

What is pallet racking?

Pallet racking is a steel storage system of upright frames and horizontal beams that holds palletised goods at several levels. In adjustable pallet racking, every pallet can be reached directly by a forklift, and beam levels can be moved in 75 mm steps as stock changes.

Rolled, welded and coated in our factory

Uprights are roll formed from coil, beams are welded to their connectors and every part is powder coated or galvanised before it is bundled for the container.

Where our racking works

The same frames and beams, configured for very different buildings. Tell us what you store and how you move it, and we design around that.

Warehouse racking layout drawing with scale ruler and beam sample

Start with a drawing, not a price list

Racking is only as good as its layout. Before we quote, we check aisle widths against your trucks, beam levels against your pallets and the total frame load against the upright section.

You get a plan and elevation of the proposed racking with an itemised quote. If you are an installer, we can work to your drawing instead.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on buying racking from a factory overseas. More on our FAQ page.

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

We are the manufacturer. SteelAisle racking and shelving is produced in our own factory and shipped direct to UK customers.

How long does delivery to the UK take?

Typically 3 to 5 weeks of production plus 5 to 7 weeks of sea freight to a UK port, then delivery to your site. Your quote confirms the dates.

Is there a minimum order?

No fixed minimum. A full 20 ft or 40 ft container gives the lowest cost per bay, and you can mix racking, shelving and accessories in one load.

Do you install racking?

We supply the racking and can introduce UK installers. Many customers and resellers use their own SEIRS-carded installation teams.

Can we see a sample first?

Yes. We can send sample sections such as a beam end and an upright offcut. Sample cost and courier are quoted by our sales team.
